Ramadhan 2016

Assalamualaikum wbt,

First of all, happy Ramadhan to all Muslims around the world :') Today, I'd like to share something. Something that touched deep bottom of my heart. Something which was shared by my friend.

Do you still remember the first takbir of the Imam in this Ramadhan? It was the moment the mixed feeling come. Hearing the imam reading al-Fathihah, you were happy but you were sad. You did not behave for the past 11 months yet you are still given the opportunity to perform your tarawih for this Ramadhan. You did so many bad things here and there, yet you can still feel your forehead touching the ground on the first prayer of Ramadhan. Most of the time you were so busy with all the dunya stuffs yet He reward you with friends who can guide you and make you realize how special Ramadhan is.

As for me, it seems like there's something different in this year's Ramadhan. It's the most awaited month, the most challenging battle session of you and yourself. And it's also a month to get closer to Allah, no matter how bad you were, how ungrateful you were to all the blessings given by Him. Because you know what? Allah is so forgiving. :') As a human, you are so vulnerable to make mistakes, that when you look upon your relationship with Allah, you start to realise how unjust you have been to Allah. When that actually happens, you start to shed tears. It's okay. You can even cry rivers because you are actually remembering Allah. Cry out of reverence and humiliation. Why? Because we have all wronged the only being that must never be wronged, and should never be neglected.

But what if you are a man who does not shed tears easily or you can't feel anything at all this Ramadhan?

Take a moment and speak to Him.

Give yourself few minutes, just you and Allah. Sit and raise your hands and share what is in your heart with Him in your own words.

So let's work hard, people. It's still not too late to get closer to Allah, and... have a blessed Ramadhan. :)
